She was the oldest of six siblings. She spent her childhood in the Sugarhouse area, attending SL City schools and graduating from South High in 1946. She met her husband, Frank A. Brown on a blind date. They have been married for 64 years. With the help of a brother-in-law they built their home in the Holladay area where they have resided for 55 years. It was in this home she raised her family of six children. This home was the center of activities and family gatherings for holidays, birthdays or for fun at any time. You could find Mom outside on her back porch or looking at her flower beds especially in the spring, her favorite time of year.Even though she loved her home, she loved to travel. When her children were younger those yearly vacations were to National Parks, then she and Frank traveled to many other places in the U.S. in their later years with family and friends. Her greatest talent was serving others as a Mom and in her profession as a caterer. She especially loved her service in the Salt Lake Temple as an ordinance worker where she served for 17 years.
