Mark Randy Chavez1958-2013Salt Lake City, UT"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me that day; and not only me but also to all who have loved His appearing." 2 Timothy 4: 7-8. Randy went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2013 after fighting a long battle with end-stage renal failure. Randy had a great love of classic cars, jazz music and the time he spent in Royal Rangers. He had a great love for his family. Megan lit up his life. Randy never lost his sense of humor and was always concerned with the welfare of others even in his final moments. Survived by his wife, Lori; daughter, Megan and future son in law, Jake Kligmann; sister, Margie Candelaria and brother, Frank Chavez; nephew, AJ (Leona) Candelaria; niece Krystal Burt and niece and nephew Kyle and Heather Booth. Preceded in death by his mother, Flora; nephew Bryan Burt and father, Leonard. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013, 11:00 am at The Adventure Church, 352 West 12300 South, Draper, UT. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 pm on Thursday at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
