James Blaine Baker1926 ~ 2013James Blaine Baker, age 86, returned to his Heavenly Father while at home on June 10, 2013, after a long battle with lung cancer with his loving family by his side.Born November 18, 1926, he was preceded in death by: his parents, James M. Baker and Dona E. Blackett Baker; sisters, Glena, Delpha, Linda; brother, Bud: two sons, James and Melvin Baker.Blaine married Peggy Turnage and raised a family of 7 children. Upon divorce he moved back to Utah in 1968 to live out the rest of his life. He met and married Donna Thompson and her four Children in 1971 He joined the US Navy at the age of 17 towards the end of World War II He worked in the ship building sheet metal trade until he came back to Utah for good. He retired from the sheet metal/air balance trades after 40 total years.Blaine is survived by: his wife of 34 years, Donna; sister, Deon and Carl Peay; brother, John and Dot; daughter's, Debbie Johnson of Newport News, VA; Kathy and Ronald Brame of Atlanta GA; Patti and Dan Leadbetter of Newport News, VA; Pamela Greenhalgh of Colinga CA; sons, John and Laura Baker of Hampton, VA; Jerry and Sharon Baker of Newport News, VA; Bart and Tina Greenhalgh of Olathe, CO; Douglas Greenhalgh of Payson, Ut; 25 Grandchildren: 28 great-grandchildren and seven great, great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15, 2013, 11:00 a.m., in the Mtn. View 7th Ward Chapel, 681 East 500 North, Payson. Friends may call Friday, June 14, 2013, 6-8:00 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, and Saturday, 9:45-10:45 a.m., at the church. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery with military rites accorded by the American Legion, Dist. 4.
