Obituary: JOHNSON, BRIAN

Brian Russell Johnson1955 ~ 2013Brian Russell Johnson was born on February 8, 1955 in Frankfurt, Germany. At the age of two, Brian was adopted by Russel L. and Eudora M. Johnson. They were so happy to get Brian. Russ could not go with Eudora to pick him up but the day Eudora and Brian arrived in Ras Tenura everyone was so excited. The company even let Russ off that day. The family lived in Arabia until Brian was of school age, then Eudora insisted they go back to the states. The family moved from Arabia to San Diego and later built a home in Bountiful, Utah where Brian attended Jr. High and High School. Brian attended the Utah Technical College in Provo majoring in Heavy Equipment Operations. Brian was a top motorcycle mechanic, and was a talented electronic sound technician and operator, and was always fascinated with the latest stereo equipment and gadgets. Brian spent most of his life as a sound technician and operated the sound board for the bands Bareback and Arial. He then toured with the Marriott circuit and visited most states ending up in one of his favorites, Florida. In later years he spent a year in Colorado working for Stallion and spent the last four years at Tampa Tent. He loved taking pictures, riding his motorcycle, making friends, collecting, visiting and playing chess with his grandkids. He is survived by his mother Eudora M. Johnson, his beloved Aunt Elda M Potter, his four children; Virginia (Tim) Allred, Robert (Yisel) Johnson, Russell S. Johnson, their mother and former spouse Carol Johnson (Dave) Evans, former spouse Laurel Riddle, daughter Melissa D. Johnson (Chris Perea) and separated spouse Colleen McElveen, 10 grandchildren, his family at Tampa Tent and many friends and acquaintances. He is predeceased by his father Russel L. Johnson and former spouse (Annette Lemon-Melissa's mother). A special thank you to his work family at Tampa Tent for all they did to help us, his roommate Ben, Chelsea, Colleen and Carol for all their love and support.
