She was born on December 7, 1921, to Stephen and Delva Madsen Butler in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She lived most of her life in Salt Lake City and was fortunate to have her grandparents help her mother raise her and her 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Mom was a woman of strong principles. She always believed that women could and would achieve great things. Education was very important to her and she supported her three children through their graduation from the University of Utah. Dad took unfailing care of the love of his life, Lucille, after her stroke seven years ago until his passing, January 31, 2012. Family was very important to them and they served and loved their family. They were always there and were considered to be the BEST GRANDPARENTS EVER! Mom loved birthdays, holidays, giving gifts and cards. Mom was an Elegant Lady and loved beautiful things, uplifting music, and happy thoughts. She always knew what was fashionable and in style.
