Obituary: GUSTAFSON, LOUISE

Louise Kathryn Stahr Gustafson"Take my hand as we walk together"One of our Father in Heaven's faithful daughters went home to live with Him, her Husband, and family members who have gone on before. Louise Kathryn Stahr Gustafson was born October 3, 1918, one of ten children and the last of them to reunite with her parents Joseph and Louisa Stahr. Louise passed away in the early morning hours of June 15, 2013 in the home where she had lived since she was two years old. There were a few of us there in the final hours to say our good-byes. Other family members had also visited her in the previous weeks to talk and reminisce with her. Louise will rejoin her husband, Harold George Gustafson whom she married on January 6, 1943 and later sealed to in the Manti Temple on April 18, 1980. Louise and Harold were together for 59 years until Harold passed away on December 1, 2002. Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions in her ward. Louise and Harold were the parents of four children, Dick (Karen), Linda (Kent) Ferree, Gloria (Paul) Watanabe, and Georgia (Mike) Lawrence. Their posterity includes 18 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild.The Family would like to thank the following people; Stahr and Tyler Adams and their four little girls who loved and cared for her these past 10 years, Cherie Ushio, Silverado Hospice who tenderly cared for her as she began to prepare to leave this world, especially Tina Broadbent, Lexie Brown, Kristine Bunting, and Terra Dennis. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the 31st Ward Chapel, 1078 South McClelland Street (1040 East) Salt Lake City, Utah. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Interment will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
