Paul Burton Price1947 ~ 2013Paul Burton Price, age 66, passed away June 15, 2013 in Heber, Utah.Paul was born January 24, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Burton Horne Price and Mabel Ardis Rast Price. He received a bachelor degree from the University of Utah and a Masters degree from Brigham Young University. He married his sweetheart Christine Fern Weight on August 26, 1970 in the Salt Lake Temple.He left a legacy of teaching and inspiring students throughout his 37 years of teaching seminary and institute. He served as principal and instructor. His love of the youth led him to serve as a director of Heritage Tours for 12 years. One of the highlights and spiritual experiences of his career was teaching at the Utah State Prison Institute. He served in the Utah National Guard medical unit and also worked as a medical technologist at LDS Hospital and Orem Community Hospital.As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as Stake and Ward Young Men's President, Stake temple prep class instructor, temple ordinance worker, Bishop, High Councilman, Provo MTC Branch President, and Mission President of the Samoa Apia Mission. His love of his family and others was the hallmark of his life. He reached out to everyone and all felt of his love. He spent his life serving others and creating little miracles. He has been a shining example of integrity, faith, and commitment to serving others. Our family has been touched and strengthened by his genuine love and devotion to us.He loved the scriptures and every time he shared one, he said it was his favorite. He loved missionaries and had a great enthusiasm for missionary work. He loved music and sang in the Mormon Youth Chorus. He was an avid scouter and loved nature. He loved writing, including poetry. He was preceded in death by his father, Burton Horne Price. Survived by the love of his life, his wife, Christine, children Michael (Tami), David (Tiffany), Alicia, Christopher (Emily), Jennifer (David), Jared (Kristen), 11 grandchildren, mother Mabel Ardis Rast Price, sisters Edris Purdy (Stephen), Mary Ann Whale (David), and two very close friends: Janette and Jenny Kirkham. Friends may call Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at the Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m at the Highland Utah Stake Center, 5335 W. 11200 N. with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery.
