Robert Delbert Tripp12/25/1930 ~ 6/25/2013Surrounded by family, Robert (Bob) passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with ALS. Much like he lived his life, Bob fought his ALS with dignity, strength, and honor while remaining the strong one in the family. Bob was born in Murray, Utah to Delbert Tripp and Ellen Anderson. He graduated from Murray High School in 1949. Bob served in the Korean War as a member of the Air Force. Bob was a dedicated horseman and loved the outdoors. He was a 30 year member of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Mounted Posse and rode in the Pony Express re-enactment for several years. He cherished his wife and family. Bob is survived by his wife Marjorie D. Tripp: children Cherrie (R. Clay Cannon, DVM), Michael (Vickie) Tripp: 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great, grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday June 29, 2013 at Stone Ridge Ward Chapel located at 12070 South 1547 West. A viewing will be held Friday evening, June 28, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at the chapel referenced above. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services.
