Mission call, USU senior and NFL contract; an exciting year for Larsen football family

It's been an exciting few weeks for the LeRoy and Barbara Larsen family.

One son just signed with an NFL team.

Another son is garnering attention as he gears up for his senior season at Utah State.

And a younger brother just received his call to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Cody Larsen signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent at the end of May, according to The Baltimore Sun. The 6-foot-4, 302-pound defensive tackle from Southern Utah was a three-time all-conference selection and finished with 18 1/2 sackes to tie for third all time in school history.

His little brother, Tyler, has been named to the Dave Rimington Trophy Spring Watch List (an award given to the nation's most outstanding center in college football) for the third-straight year. Tyler, an all-conference offensive lineman last year, is preparing for his senior year at Utah State this fall.

Last season, KSL-TV produced a interesting feature about Cody and Tyler prior to a game between Utah State and Southern Utah.

Tyler is also the focus of a recent Deseret News article by Kraig Williams.

Zach, the little brother, just received his LDS mission call to Finland, according to a YouTube video. Zach, a Jordan High graduate, plans to play football for Southern Utah when he returns in two years.
