Darrell "Monty" SnyderNovember 10, 1947 - June 28, 2013West Valley City, UTMonty was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and grew up in the Murray area. He loved to make people laugh, especially children and was always fun to be around.He was a great mechanic and welder and built many things in his garage. He was able to live out some of his life's dreams like building his own home in Herriman. Monty loved horses, especially mustangs, and was able to adopt some and train them. He loved going hunting and fishing in the mountains. Strawberry Reservoir was one of his favorite places.Monty is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sharon, his son, Kary, and daughters, Lesa (Barry) Cain and Heather (Manuel) Cordova. His sisters, Sharon (Vern) Spencer, Vicki (Bill) Miller, Michelle Snyder and brother Roy (Butch) Snyder. Ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Theresa, infant granddaughter, Zsa'nelle, brother David Snyder, sisters LaRae Snyder Groesbeck and Karen Clark Elliott.Graveside services will take place at Redwood Memorial, 6500 South Redwood Road, on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, 11:00 am with a gathering one hour prior.Our family would like to thank all the staff at Willow Wood Care Center and also Bristol Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Darrell.
