Betty Lou Dennis "Loving Wife & Mother"Betty Lou Dennis, age 84, was a great Wife, Sister, Mother and friend. She passed away on June 27, 2013 at 2:30 a.m. in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her husband and best friend Tad Dennis was with her when she passed. She graduated from South High, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Betty went to work for the LDS Hospital till 1945. She then went from there to Purity Biscuit Co. where she worked on the cookie conveyor belt gathering cookies to package, that is where she and Tad met. Then in November of that year they were married. The very next day Tad was shipped out to Japan to the war. They had a long distance relationship for 4 years, leaving to her take care of herself. After a while she moved to Chicago, IL to be a nanny to some children. When Tad was on his way home she moved back to Salt Lake City, where she moved back with the in-laws to wait for her loving husband.Betty was the Mother of six children. Two of them passed away shortly after birth. She is survived by two daughters Betty Lou and Teresa Dennis and two sons Tad D and Ty Dennis. Betty was an excellent wife, mother and friend. She was a grandmother of 17 grand-children and a great-grandmother to 26. The viewing will be held on Tuesday July 2, 2013 at the Hunter LDS Ward, 3970 So. 5200 West, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. There will be a second viewing on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, from 12:30-2.00 p.m., at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So. where the service will begin at 2.00 p.m.There will be a small luncheon held back at the church after the graveside. We all will miss her but we will remember how loving and caring she was. Online condolences:
