Tech team discovers child porn on customer's laptop

WEST VALLEY CITY — A West Valley City man is facing 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after a tech team discovered child pornography on his computer.

All 20 charges filed Monday in 3rd District Court against William Robert Bailey, 65, are second-degree felonies.

The images were discovered when Bailey took the computer to a Best Buy "Geek Squad," according to the charges. Police obtained a search warrant and located "well over 20 images" of child pornography, charges state.

Bailey told police he started downloading pictures of "mostly youngsters" in 2005. The files were discovered Dec. 26, 2012, and had been downloaded over the past year, according to the charges.
