Kenneth Rulon ShepherdRemembrance March 7, 1924 ~ June 1, 2013Kenneth Shepherd, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away after a long and accomplished life June 1, 2013 in Provo, Utah. He was 89 years old. Kenneth was born March 7, 1924 in Paris, Idaho to Rulon Tracey Shepherd and Genevieve Cooley. He was the oldest of four children. Siblings included Arlene Bateman deceased (Maurice), Doug (Carolee), and David deceased (Annis). Ken's formative years were spent in Overton, Nevada and Mesa, Arizona. He graduated from Brigham Young University ('47) and went on to get an MBA from Stanford University ('49). He was married on August 17, 1948 to Charlotte Orcella Harris in the LDS Mesa Arizona Temple. During World War II, he served in the United States Air Force and retired as a Major in the USAF Reserves.Kenneth was a proud father of a daughter and three sons: Terry Lynne Turner, Larry (Heidi), Scott, and Charles - deceased (Diane Gardner). He was extremely proud of his 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the LDS American Fork 11th Ward, 240 S. Center Street, American Fork, Utah 84003. Memorial services will begin at noon. Interment will be held at the Orem City Cemetery immediately following the services.
