Dorothy Winona Guy Van Leuven1922 ~ 2013Our beloved mother and grandmother, Dorothy Winona Guy Van Leuven, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2013, surrounded by loved ones.Dorothy was born April 21, 1922 in American Falls, Idaho, to Emery William Guy and Minnie Lena Glorfield. She lived and attended school in Weston, Idaho.She married Ray Sylvester Van Leuven in Pueblo, Colorado, October 26th, 1942. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife.Dorothy loved life! She loved to read and travel in their trailer. Her talents cannot be numbered, but she had a knack for crafts, loved animals, laughter, gardening, and cooking. Above all, we remember her patience and kindness. Her love was unconditional.Dorothy's family express deep gratitude for those who cared for her during these past years as her health began to fail. A special thanks to the Jensen and Sylvester families for a lifetime of friendship and love, and to Claudia, her devoted friend and helper.Her husband, Ray, and sister, Alice Waddoups, precede Dorothy in death. She is survived by siblings: Bonnie Huffman, and Don (VaLee) Guy; children: Ron (Jeanne), Wayne (Lou), Joan (Rick) Payne, and Alan (Laura). She has 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the LDS Jordan 4th Ward, 3676 West 4700 South, Taylorsville, Utah. The Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at
