Mae Thacker WrightMay 4, 1921 ~ June 6, 2013Mae Thacker Wright, 92, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully on June 6, 2013. She was born May 4, 1921 in Charleston, Utah to Charles David and Alice Jane Wagstaff Thacker. She was the eighth child of 12, and loved being a part of a large family. When the Deer Creek Dam was built her family sold the farm and moved to Vineyard, Utah, where she graduated from Lincoln High School. She met and married William Andrew (Bill) Wright on March 22, 1941. They were sealed in the Provo Temple in 1996. They had four children, Owen, Bill, Karl and Mollie. Mom opened her own beauty shop in her home and was very successful. She was also the Paramount Beauty Supply representative for Utah County. She served on the State Cosmetology board for several years. Mom loved to Garden and was well known for her beautiful yard, especially her roses. She also loved to Golf, serving on the Tri-City golf Board. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and had a love for our Savior. She also loved genealogy and helped compile four volumes of family history. Mae is survived by her children; Owen Drew, Pleasant Grove, Bill Norman (Marilyn) Syracuse, Karl J (Paula), Providence, and Amelia "Mollie" (Rick) Blackwell, Circleville. 19 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren with one on the way. Sister, Luella Hellewell, Ogden, and Brother, Lowell (Colleen) Thacker, Neola. Preceeded in death by her husband, William Andrew, her parents, a daughter in law, Karen Mendenhall Wright, Grandson, Brayden A Blackwell, Great Granchildren, Timothy Wright, Lonne Bill Rasmussen, Arianna C J Wright-Slack. Brother's; Heber, Floyd, and Lyle Thacker. Sister's; LaPreal Stoker, Ida Carter, Lois Bonner, Lela Morgan, VauNess Stott and Carma Crook. Oh what a happy reunion she is having. Reunions were one of her favorite things to do. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Timpanogos Stake Center, 800 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove with a viewing from 12:30 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Family and friends may also attend a viewing Sunday evening , June 9, 2013 from 6 8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.
