Luella Emma Monson1943 ~ 2013Salt Lake City, UtahLuella Emma Monson, 69 years, passed away June 7, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a 20 year battle with cancer. She was born September 1, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Russell LaMar Solomon and Emma Griffith. Luella graduated from West High School where she was proud to be a Blue Devil. She married and later divorced, Robert Odenwalder. She then married David Lee Monson on September 1, 1986 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She enjoyed crafts, painting, cooking, gardening, pottery, word games, traveling and going on cruises, Red Hat Society, her dog Lilly, and her girls. She is survived by her husband, daughters: Tracy (Robert) Quist and Leslie Andersen; step-children: Michelle (Matthew) Gough and Bradley David Monson; grandchildren: Tiffany Jaramillo, Daniel (Desiree) Jurado, Samantha Andersen, Devon Jurado, Brandon Monson, Chase Davis and Preston Monson and great grandchildren and soon to be great great grandchild. Luella was preceded in death by her parents.Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 12, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, with a gathering one hour prior to services. Interment to follow services at Redwood Memorial Park.
