Betty Marie Driggs Gallacher1926 ~ 2013Betty Marie Driggs Gallacher, 87, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at home with her family in San Bernardino, CA. She was born in Bingham Canyon, Utah on Feb. 23, 1926 to Leonard and Angeline Driggs. Following the death of her father, the family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she graduated from West High School, and later married Douglas E. Gallacher. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of her life, working for the Primary and Cub and Boy Scouts for over 30 years. She was also a busy member of the Relief Society. Betty and Doug owned and operated Gallacher Board and Care for 17 years, helping many people get back on their feet and making them feel like it was their home too. She is survived by her husband; Douglas, her daughter; Charlotte Crandall, son; Douglas Lynn (Marie), daughter-in-law; Patti Gallacher Norton, son; Jim (Chris), 19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. She is also survived by her four sisters, Glenna Klein, Maxine (Hal) Belnap, Rose Baxter and Bonnie Thomas. She is preceded in death by her sons Stanley and Robert Dean, and her brother Leonard Driggs. Funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel at 1244 Pacific St. in San Bernardino, CA 92404, on Aug. 13, 2013. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Interment will be the following day at the Alpine Cemetery in Alpine, CA.
