SMITHFIELD, Cache County — Smithfield Canyon Road is closed to all uses through Friday, Aug. 23, while construction crews are replacing a culvert, as well as grading and resurfacing portions of the road.
The closure begins above the bridge about 0.15 miles from the forest boundary to the Smithfield Canyon trailhead. Hikers going from Tony Grove to Smithfield Canyon will not be allowed to exit through Smithfield Canyon during the road closure.
The Smithfield Canyon campground will remain open.
