PROVO — Residents can begin removing excess refuse from their homes when the city's annual fall cleanup begins next month.
Residents must separate yard waste and metals and dispose of the material in Dumpsters at six locations throughout the city from Sept. 23–Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m Monday–Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Dumpsters at the compost yard are available until 6 p.m. Saturdays. Dumpsters are closed nightly and no material may be left on the ground.
Locations of Dumpsters are: Sept. 23-28, Lions Park at 1200 North and 1000 West; Sept. 30-Oct. 5, LDS church at 2400 N. 1060 East; Oct. 7-12, LDS church at 1090 W. 1020 South; Oct. 14-19, 4300 N. Canyon Road; Oct. 21-26, LDS church at 2225 W. 620 North; and Oct. 28-Nov. 2, LDS church at 945 E. 700 North. The compost yard throughout the cleanup period is located at 1625 S. Industrial Parkway.
Residents should not dispose of rocks, tires, concrete, tree stumps, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners or household hazardous waste such as pesticides in the Dumpsters or at the transfer station. Leaf bags are collected curbside through November and December.
