Flora McClain Montgomery Haddow Green1922 ~ 2013Flora McClain Montgomery Haddow Green peacefully passed away on August 23, 2013, in Mesa, Arizona, after suffering a broken hip and heart attack earlier in the week. She was born August 16, 1922, to Grace McClain Clarke and John Nelson Montgomery, in Claysville, Pennsylvania, where she grew up with older brother John and sister, Esther. She graduated from Claysville High School, and studied at Drexel University when her education was interrupted by WWII, and she went to work in a steel mill. She was an original Rosie the Riveter. She married her eternal companion, Duncan Murdoch Haddow in 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA; he passed away in 1953. She married William Varney Green in 1956; he passed away in 1971, leaving her a widow for 47 years. She moved to Utah in 1972. She worked all her life, lastly as a lobbyist in Washington DC until she was 85 years old, making many friends among Congressmen and Senators and Presidents. She was named business woman of the year in Provo Utah when she worked for Knight Adjustment Bureau. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Her children are Christina Haddow Millard (Richard), Duncan Haddow (deceased), John Montgomery Haddow (Kathleen), Charles McClain Haddow (Alice), James Arthur Clarke Haddow (Deborah), Joseph Duncan Haddow, Suzanne Green Dover (Earl), Sarah Green Leon (Rafael). Her grandchildren are Michele Millard Hoferitza (Mark), Dennis Millard (Shamane), Jeffrey Millard (Kristin), Christopher Haddow, Jami Haddow Taylor (Jon), Annie Haddow Pratt, Ashley Haddow, Jess Haddow, Kaitlyn Haddow Allen (Mark), Heather Haddow Monk (Dave), Kelsey Haddow Carreon (Edric), Jenny Haddow Doman (Trent), Colleen Haddow Gehrig (Nick), Alycia Peterson (Dan), Toi Faciana (Todd), Casey Haddow, Catherine Haddow, James Duncan Haddow (Vanessa), Mac Haddow, Richard Hernandez, Michael Leon, Joseph Bunger, Joseph Green. Thirty-seven great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.Her family will gather for services to be conducted by Bishop Norton, and held at the LDS Church located at 1007 South 72nd Street Mesa AZ 85208 on August 27, 2013.
