VIEWMONT 2, DAVIS 1: After the Vikings gave up an early goal, Karrie Pead found the net late in the first half to even the score, and then Abbie Flandro scored in the second half to boost Viewmont in the Region 1 duel between two top-ranked teams.

FREMONT 5, SYRACUSE 0: Mariah Elmer found the back of the net twice for the Silver Wolves, while Kassidy Gibson, Kamie Hunter, and Carlie Watson each contributed one goal in the win over Syracuse. Alexis Burnett earned credit for the shutout.

NORTHRIDGE 2, LAYTON 0: Tawney Fitzgerald and Josie Morris each scored for the Knights while Josie Manwill earned credit for the shutout in the win over Layton.

REGION 4

WESTLAKE 3, HERRIMAN 0: Hanna Robertson scored two goals while Alex Gunnell scored one in the home win over Herriman.

LONE PEAK 2, AMERICAN FORK 1: Natalie Lewis received a great feed from Tess Arnold to bury the golden goal past American Fork to get the overtime win for the Knights.

REGION 5

SKY VIEW 1, OGDEN 0: Sky View finally broke through with a goal in 74th minute by Jessica Smith to get the win in region play.

LOGAN 4, BOX ELDER 1: The Grizzlies put on an offensive clinic, outshooting the Bees 25-5 in the win.

REGION 6

BOUNTIFUL 6, JUDGE MEMORIAL 1: Six different Braves found the back of the net in Bountiful's big win over Judge.

CLEARFIELD 5, EAST 0: Afton Barlow led the way for the Falcons with two goals in the home win. McKenna Still earned credit for the shutout.

HIGHLAND 8, KEARNS 0: Highland jumped out to an early 5-0 lead at the break, and cruised past Kearns for the victory. Kate Orchard led the way for the Rams with four goals, while Emma Thornton added two scores and April Owens earned the shutout.

WOODS CROSS 0, CYPRUS 0: Woods Cross blew past its rival Cyprus 11-1 in Region 6 play. Kyra Fawcett, Eden Jacobsen and Ashlyn Farnes combined for 10 goals to lead the Wildcats in the victory, while Tiffany Ruelas scored the lone goal for the Pirates in the loss.

REGION 7

OLYMPUS 4, CORNER CANYON 1: Olympus made up for a 1-0 half-time deficit with four goals in the second half, including two from Sadie Brockbank, to get the win.

MOUNTAIN VIEW 4, MURRAY 3: Mountain View picked up its second region win by jumping out to an early 4-1 lead at the break and holding on to defeat Murray in Region 7 play. Alecia Robinson notched a hat trick to lead the way for the Bruins.

TIMPANOGOS 4, SKYLINE 3: A double assist by Jordyn Chung-Hoon and Katie Henderson allowed Rachelle Warner to kick the winning goal in the last seconds of double overtime for the Timberwolves.

REGION 8

WASATCH 1, SALEM HILLS 0: Katie Cranney finished off of a beautiful feed from Ella Ballstaedt to give Wasatch its one and only goal in its win over Salem Hills.

PROVO 2, SPANISH FORK 1: The Bulldogs maintained their composure, and kept the Spanish Fork goalkeeper busy, out-shooting the Dons 23-16, to get the come from behind win.

MAPLE MOUNTAIN 3, TIMPVIEW 1: Maple Mountain took an early 1-0 lead at the break and chipped in two more goals in the second half to pull out the victory against Timpview. Rachel Bingham, Keana Bryan and Kennedee Tracy all netted goals for the Golden Eagless, while Dakota Smith scored the lone goal for the T-Birds in the loss.

REGION 9

DESERT HILLS 2, CANYON VIEW 2: Close, competitive action ends in a tie in a region-play opening game for both squads.

CEDAR 4, HURRICANE 0: Ari Towns registered a hat trick, striking on three goals, to led Cedar to the win.

DIXIE 2, PINE VIEW 1: The Flyers broke through the stingy Pine View defense twice in the second half to secure the win at home.

NONREGION

WEST 2, TOOELE 1: West netted two goals in the first half to escape with the narrow road victory over Tooele. Kenya Russell scored on a penalty kick for the Buffaloes in the loss.

BINGHAM 8, GRANGER 0: Carla Swensen slipped four goals past the Granger defense to lead the Miners to a big victory on the road.

SOUTH SUMMIT 7, GRANTSVILLE 0: Giovanna Shannon and Kaylie Farmer each netted two goals for the Wildcats in the shutout victory over Grantsville.

ROWLAND HALL 3, PAYSON 1: Rowland Hall picked up the road win against Payson. In the loss, Cali Jensen scored the lone goal for the Lions.

BRIGHTON 3, RIVERTON 0: The Bengals picked up the road win in the shutout against Riverton.

STANSBURY 2, TAYLORSVILLE 0: Michaela Didericksen and Rachel Prescott each netted goals to lead the Stallions past the Warriors. Natalie Memmott and Amy Despain combined for the shutout between the posts.

RICHFIELD 3, AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 1: The Eagles defense was no match for the strong offense showing by Richfield as the Rabbits picked up the win on the road.

BEN LOMOND 5, HUNTER 1: Baylee Roche netted three goals for the Scots in the road victory over Hunter. In the loss, Jenny Ibara kicked the lone goal for the Wolverines.

SOUTH SEVIER 5, CARBON 1: Shania Young led the Rams offensive onslaught, scoring 3 goals in the win over Carbon.

Volleyball

WEBER DEF. BONNEVILLE 15-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-22, 15-12: After losing two sets, the Warriors were able to make a comeback and secure the win. Holly Stocker had nine kills, two aces, and 11 digs; Chase Doughty had 16 kills and two blocks; and Whitney Weaver had eight aces.

BOX ELDER DEF. BEAR RIVER 25-17, 25-8, 22-25, 26-24: Box Elder blew past Bear River by snatching three of the four sets and sealing the victory. Mallory Mueller had 15 kills and two blocks, while Karly Dunderson added 15 digs to lead the way for the Bees.

TOOELE DEF. CARBON 23-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23, 15-7: After going back and forth, the Buffaloes were finally able to secure two consecutive sets to pull out the win over Carbon.

BINGHAM DEF. DAVIS

WEST JORDAN DEF. GRANGER 29-31, 25-17, 25-18, 25-12: After dropping the first game of the match, the West Jordan Jaguars won three straight to pick up the road victory over the Granger Lancers.

GUNNISON DEF. NORTH SEVIER 25-18, 25-7, 25-20: The Wolves put up a big fight in the third game, but it wasn't enough to stop the Bulldogs. The 'Dogs pulled off the big victory in three straight sets.

HERRIMAN DEF. CORNER CANYON 25-12, 25-17, 25-18: Herriman secured the victory over Corner Canyon in three sets.

INTERMOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN DEF. LAYTON CHRISTIAN 25-23, 25-21, 18-25, 22-25, 15-6: After Losing two sets, Intermountain Christian was able to come back and win the match.

LEHI DEF. FREMONT 25-22, 25-17, 24-26, 13-25, 15-10: Lehi turned away a strong comeback attempt from Fremont to hold on and win in five sets.

JUAB DEF. MAESER PREP 25-7, 25-20, 25-18: Juab swept Measer Prep in 3 straight sets to earn the win.

RICHFIELD DEF. MILLARD 28-26, 12-25, 25-13, 25-16: After four sets, the Wildcats were able to pull out the victory over Millard.

MURRAY DEF. HILLCREST 25-9, 25-6, 25-17: Murray served the ball especially well to get the win in three games over Hillcrest. Amara Culpepper registered seven aces.

NORTHRIDGE DEF. PLEASANT GROVE 26-24, 25-23, 20-25, 27-25: Northridge picked up the close victory in four sets. The Knights were powered by Tabby Williams' 30 assists, five aces and seven digs; Kaitlin Verbitski's 14 kills, six digs and four aces; Kelly Erwin's 14 digs and one ace; and Rachel Parson's 11 kills and 12 digs. Brisa Winterton's 44 assists, 12 digs and four aces led the way for the Vikings in the loss.

PARK CITY DEF. SUMMIT ACADEMY 25-8, 25-12, 25-6: The Miners pulled off the victory in three straight sets. Whitney Wakefield, Chrissy Glasmann, and Kambridge Van Derveur all had six kills. Sammee Thomas had 13 assists and eight aces while Jo Henry contributed six aces.

WASATCH DEF. PAYSON 25-18, 21-25, 14-25, 25-19, 15-13: It took five sets for the Wasps to finally secure the win over Payson.

RIVERTON DEF. COPPER HILLS 25-21, 25-15, 25-8: The Silverwolves secured the win over Copper Hills in three straight sets, serving 14 aces as a team.

SKY VIEW DEF. MORGAN 25-22, 16-25, 16-25, 25-15, 15-9: Taylor Duryea had 23 kills for the Bobcats as they won their match against Morgan in five sets.

SPRINGVILLE DEF. TIMPANOGOS 25-19, 25-18, 9-25, 25-15: The Red Devils defeated Timpanogos in four sets. Olivia Jarvis had 15 kills and Katie Seaman contributed 27 assists.

BEAVER DEF. CANYON VIEW 25-18, 25-19, 25-15: Beaver rolled past Canyon View in three straight sets to pick up the victory. The Beaver's were led by McKenzie Pollman's 39 assists, MaCail Wood's 15 kills, Schlyer Jordan's seven kills and Kellie McDonald's seven kills.
