Alan Karl Skougard1951 ~ 2013Alan Karl Skougard (Papa), passed away on August 24, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah.Alan was born February 19, 1951 in St. George, Utah to Eunice Barton and Karl Skougard, and he was raised by Boyd Orton. He married Beth Ann Sharples on February 26, 1972. He was an avid workaholic, he loved to work and be around his kids and grandkids. He loved to ride his Harley and go to Rocky Mountain Raceways. Alan is survived by his loving wife, Beth Ann; sons, Tim and Brent and daughter, Tina Zacherson; brothers, Roger, Doug, Duane and sister, Jeanie Shakespeare, and 6 grandchildren, Tayler, Kasey, Shon, Dalton, Colter and Solitude. He is preceded in death by his parents.Funeral Services for Alan will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
