FILLMORE — A California woman was killed Sunday after the car she was in rolled several times on I-15.

Fale Tuitea, 33, of San Pedro, Calif., was a passenger traveling north on I-15 about 8:30 a.m. in a pickup truck driven by her husband, according to Utah Department of Public Safety agent Jalaine Hawkes.

The truck drifted off the freeway near mile post 135 and into the left median. Hawkes said the driver over-corrected, causing the truck to roll over several times. The car landed upright on its wheels, without leaving the left median.

Hawkes said the driver and their 6-year-old son were transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Tuitea was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
