LaVer Walser Bentley1924 ~ 2013LaVer Walser Bentley, dear husband and father, age 89, passed on, 4 August 2013. Born on 27 March 1924 in Colonia Juarez, Mexico, son of Richard Ivins and Amelia Walser Bentley. Served LDS Mission to Texas/Louisiana. Graduated from USU and earned Master of Science (U of U). Married Eva Richardson in the SL Temple on 21 March 1952. Taught Science for 35 years, served in Scouting for 20 years, and received the Silver Beaver Award. Preceded in death by parents, five brothers, one sister, and granddaughters Vanessa Bentley, and Emma Pineda Burton. He will be missed by Eva and family: Richard (Nancy), Steven (Debbie), Arthur (Ruth), Elaine (Craig), Ruth, Julia (Mike), Anthony (Debbie), Jane (Paul), Anita (Kipp), Thomas (Christine), Robert (Jeanette), and Rebecca (Nate), 84 grandchildren and 53 greats, his sister Ceytru Bentley Garner and sister-in-law Nancy Hansen Bentley. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 9, 2013, 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Church at 3115 South 600 East, Salt Lake where friends may call, Thursday 6:00-8:00 p.m., and Friday, at 10:00 a.m. Burial, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
