LaVon Videan Stephens ParryNov. 8 1924 ~ Aug. 6 2013Riverton, UtahOur beloved LaVon left us peacefully, but too soon, on August 6, 2013. She was born on November 8, 1924 in Henefer, Utah to Elthera Fawcett and Parley R. Stephens. She was married to her eternal companion Max W. Parry on Dec. 3, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple.LaVon was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Sunday School for 29 years, she was also a missionary with Max at the LDS Cannery for 15 years. LaVon was a proud member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and loved going to her meetings. Grandma was known for her vibrant spirit and honesty. She will be greatly missed but we know she is up in heaven dancing with grandpa.Survived by her children Glenn (Kathy) Parry, Fae (James) Herlocker, Jolene (Duane) Breinholt, a brother Edison Stephens and a sister Colleen Kormos. 5 grandchildren; Riki, Amy (Nate), Clayton (Kristi), Ashlee (Jacob), and Cole (Whitney). 8 great-grandchildren; Devyn, Jaxon, Lexi, Kyler, Corbin, Kamdyn, Miss Sophie, and Maxine.Funeral services will be at the Copperview 6th Ward LDS Chapel at 12270 South 3200 West at 11:00 am on Saturday August 10, 2013. A viewing will be held Friday, August 9th from 6:00 8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. So Jordan Pkwy (10600 So.) and 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
