LOGAN - Despite shifting to the very difficult Pacific Region, Utah State soccer earned a ranking in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire Pacific Region poll this week, as the Aggies were tied for ninth.
Utah State shares the ninth spot with a familiar foe as Utah is also ninth. The Aggies hold a 4-0-1 record, while the Utes are 2-1-1. The two teams will meet in Salt Lake City on Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
When USU was in the Western Athletic Conference, the Aggies were in the West Region along with BYU. Utah State now shares a region with the Pacific-12 Conference. The Aggies are the only team from the Mountain West ranked in the Pacific Region this week. UCLA and Stanford are tied for first in the region followed by California and Arizona State, respectively.
Utah State is back in action against No. 25 Arkansas on Friday, Sept. 13 at 4 p.m. at Chuck and Gloria Bell Soccer Field. Friday is also Youth Soccer Day where Utah Youth Soccer Association will be holding a clinic at 3 p.m. at the football practice field.
Live stats will also be available on USU's athletic website.
Admission to all home USU soccer matches at Chuck and Gloria Bell Soccer Field is free.
