Ella Draper Christensen1923~2013Ella Draper Christensen was born October 5, 1923 in Redmond, UT to Arthur Draper and Mary Ellen Riding. Married Dell A. Christensen November 29, 1940, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; Dell passed away December 19, 1979. Ella lived in Magna from 1945 to 2002 then moved to St George. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she worked in the Jr. Sunday School, the Mutual organization, and Relief Society. She also worked at the Jordan River Temple on the desk outside the temple president's office. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and puzzling. She loved being with her family. She worked and retired from Hercules Inc. after 28 years. She is survived by her sons, Dean (JoAnn) Christensen and Rex (Daryn) Christensen; grandchildren, Steffanie (Jarrod) Terrill, Erin (Shane) Talbot, Don (Cheryl) Christensen, Jeff (Carrie) Christensen, Melissa (Jason) Cloward, Tyler (Meleesa) Trujillo, Ciera (Michael) Barrow, Courtnee K. Christensen, and Casey Rae Christensen; daughter-in-law, Sylva Ann Christensen; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sisters, Shirley Rasmussen and Phyllis Morley. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Dell; son, Jerry Christensen; and 2 brothers-in-law.Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, where a viewing will be held Saturday 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
