REGION 1
LAYTON 15, FREMONT 7: Hunter Evans passed for 227 yards and a touchdown, and Davis Marriott rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown as Layton eked out a victory over Fremont in a defensive triple-overtime game.
NORTHRIDGE 47, VIEWMONT 7: Dayan Lake contributed 12 carries, five catches, and two touchdowns as the Knights overwhelmed the Vikings. Lake finished with 186 yards on the night. Nate Kusuda wen 16-for-25 with 303 yards and three scores, and rushed for another TD in the region win. Jace Colby caught eight balls for 198 yards and two TDs.
REGION 4
AMERICAN FORK 28, RIVERTON 25: American Fork topped Riverton in a back and forth affair. Riley Smith plunged in from 1-yard to give the Cavemen the three point lead, and Wolves' ensuing would-be-tying kick failed.
LEHI 37, WESTLAKE 24: Cade Calton was at it again Friday night, rushing for over 300 yards with three touchdowns for Lehi. Gavin Williams threw for 354 yards for Westlake, which was previously undefeated coming into the game.
HERRIMAN 29, LONE PEAK 21: Kody Jarvis was a beast for Herriman in the Region 4 opener, rushing for two touchdowns and returning an interception 95 yards for another as Herriman stunned Lone Peak. Brandon Farmer helped ice the game with a 43-yard score in the fourth quarter. In the loss, Knights' quarterback Baron Gajkowski ran for a score and passed for two more.
REGION 5
LOGAN 61, OGDEN 13: Chase Nelson wasted no time shredding the Odgen defense apart, throwing for 5 touchdowns in the first quarter.
SKY VIEW 45, BONNEVILLE 7: Sky View jumped out to 35-0 lead at halftime behind quarterback Braxton Godderidge, who accounted for five touchdowns.
ROY 39, MOUNTAIN CREST 27: Roy scored on an 80-yard streak pass from Tyler Skidmore to Cody Hobbs on its first possession before building a comfortable lead. The Royals improved to 4-0 on an emotional night in which the community honored Baby Tee Eteuati, who's mother unexpectedly passed away last week.
REGION 6
HIGHLAND 35, KEARNS 14: Highland dominated in the first half over Kearns to start the Region 6 play with a solid win.
BOUNTIFUL 44, CLEARFIELD 7: Tanner Redding scored three touchdowns as Bountiful easily blanked Clearfield in the region opener for both teams.
EAST 42, WOODS CROSS 6: The Leopards' dual-threat quarterback Isaac Valles threw for 107 yards and a touchdown, and added another 140 yards and touchdown on the ground. Running back Ula Tolutau picked up 130 yards rushing and also scored.
REGION 7
OREM 56, MURRAY 7: Orem scored 35 points in the second quarter, then cruised past Murray for its first win of the season. The Spartans scored first, but then yielded 56 unanswered points.
CORNER CANYON 47, MOUNTAIN VIEW 24: Riley Ogden rushed for four touchdowns as visiting Corner Canyon rolled past Mountain View for its first victory in school history. Leading 21-14 at the half, the Chargers pulled away with a strong defensive effort.
TIMPANOGOS 47, SKYLINE 34: Timpanogos' Jackson Dunford had an impressive outing, throwing three touchdown passes and running for another two in the victory over Skyline.
REGION 8
WASATCH 17, PROVO 14: Wasatch built an early 17-point lead, and held on as Provo battled back to make a game of it.
TIMPVIEW 40, SALEM HILLS 7: Timpview jumped all over previously unbeaten Salem Hills on the road. Britain Covey connected with Rhett VanLeeuwen on touchdown passes of 40 and 35 yards.
SPRINGVILLE 34, SPANISH FORK 21: Quarterback Dylan Slavens led the Springville offense in style, throwing for 324 yards and three touchdowns to pull away from Spanish Fork, and get the region win on the road.
NONREGION
MORGAN 42, GRANGER 18: Kade Carrigan rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, while teammate Jake Peterson added two touchdowns on just three carries as 3A's Morgan crushed visiting 5A Granger, limiting the Lancers to just 211 yards of total offense.
SOUTH SUMMIT 37, BEAVER 6: In a battle of 2A unbeatens, South Summit's Colby Averett had a very strong game, racking up 101 rushing yards and three touchdowns to spearhead the victory for the top-ranked team in 2A. South Summit's stout defense forced three turnovers.
GRANTSVILLE 14, JUAB 0: Jacob Riding put Grantsville on the board first with his 20-yard reception from Alex Meono. The Cowboys then got the action started early in the second half when Wyatt Barrus returned a Juab fumble 18 yards to the end zone.
NORTH SANPETE 37, CARBON 0: Spencer Applegarth scored on touchdown runs of 15 and 27 yards in the first half as the Hawks built a 30-0 halftime lead en route to their first victory of the season.
MANTI 21, SHELLEY, IDAHO 0: Connor Aste completed 8 of 11 passes for 117 yards in the Templars' shutout victory over Shelly, Idaho.
RICHFIELD 42, EMERY 13: The Wildcats put up 28 points in the final quarter to extend their winning streak, and secure the road victory over Emery.
UNION 37, PARK CITY 36: Union's Trent Malnar scored on a 25-yard touchdown run his second of the game with two minutes remaining as Union rallied past Park City in a wild back-and-forth game in which no lead was safe.
WEST JORDAN 27, HILLCREST 7: West Jordan picked up its first win of the season. The Jaguars scored 14 points in the second quarter.
OLYMPUS 34, TAYLORSVILLE 7: Olympus Ben Seagle rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown, and the Titans' defense intercepted Taylorsville five times to remain undefeated on the season.
BINGHAM 48, HUNTER 15: Sky Manu and Chase Messervy both scored defensive touchdowns in the first half as No. 1 Bingham built a 42-7 halftime cushion against Hunter and rolled the rest of the way. Landen Measom opened the game for the Miners with a 55-yard punt return for a touchdown.
DIXIE 58, CANYON VIEW 6: After a relatively close first quarter, Dixie turned on the afterburners, and blew past Canyon View.
WEBER 28, BOX ELDER 20: Auston Tesch was outstanding for the Warriors as he rushed for three touchdowns as up-start Weber improved to 3-1 under first-year coach Matt Hammer.
WEST 9, CYPRUS 7: West found its way to victory late in the fourth quarter, narrowly edging Cyprus at home.
PLEASANT GROVE 45, MAPLE MOUNTAIN 14: Spencer Romney scored on a pair of punt returns, and teammate TJ Wind added three rushing touchdowns, all in the first half, as undefeated Pleasant Grove overwhelmed Maple Mountain. Defensively, Josh Marsh added a defensive touchdown as the Vikings built a 42-0 lead midway through the second quarter.
BRIGHTON 31, COTTONWOOD 3: Osa Masina scored twice on seven carries and racked up 114 yards rushing in the win over Cottonwood. The Bengas' defense was stellar, forcing three turnovers.
JUDGE MEMORIAL 56, DELTA 14: Judge hit the road and crushed Delta to improve to 2-2 on the season. The Bulldogs outscored the Rabbits 35-8 in the second half.
VANDEN, CALIF. 41, COPPER HILLS 0: Copper Hills failed to get anything going Friday night, and were blanked through all four quarters in the loss to Vanden.
KANAB 35, MONTICELLO 28: Kanab's Hadin Jones hauled in two touchdown receptions and threw for another en route to victory.
ALTAMONT 45, WEST WENDOVER, NEV. 32: Randy Sorensen and Dylan Lindsay each scored on a pair of rushing touchdowns to lift Altamont to the easy victory over West Wendover, Nev., improving its record to 2-2 on the season.
1A NORTH
DUCHESNE 40, MILFORD 0: The top-ranked team in 1A extended its winning streak to 38 straight as it held Milford to just 68 yards rushing en route to the runaway victory. Quarterback Trent Roberts threw for 171 yards with two touchdown and rushed for 32 yards to highlight the action for Duchesne.

DIAMOND RANCH 54, MONUMENT VALLEY 6: Diamond Ranch exploded for 32 points in the opening quarter before hitting cruise control in an easy road win at Monument Valley.
2A NORTH
LAYTON CHRISTIAN 20, GUNNISON 14: Grayson Jackson, Marquis Gibson and Jack Chandler all scored on touchdown runs as Layton Christian surprised Gunnison to improve to 2-0 in the 2A North region.
NORTH SUMMIT 24, SUMMIT ACADEMY 14: North Summit quarterback Ryan McMichael opened the scoring with an 80-yard touchdown run, and then tacked on two more touchdowns later in the game as the Braves hit the road and knocked off winless Summit Academy to improve to 2-0 in region play.
AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 21, MILLARD 10: American Leadership clung to a 14-10 halftime lead before Jeff Gardner took a Millard fumble 96 yards back for a touchdown to give ALA a comfortable fourth quarter lead, and eventually the win.
2A SOUTH
SAN JUAN 23, NORTH SEVIER 18: Visiting San Juan escaped with the victory at North Sevier as Max Morley scored on a pair of rushing touchdowns, and Terrance Tate helped seal the deal in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard run that proved to be the game-winning score.
GRAND 23, SOUTH SEVIER 6: Jacob Francis scored all three touchdowns for Grand, which held South Sevier scoreless in the final three quarters to secure the region victory. Trevor Jones put the Rams on the board first with a 47-yard touchdown run.
ENTERPRISE 32, PAROWAN 0: Kelton Hunt was superb for the Wolves; carrying the ball 28 times for 235 yards and three touchdowns in an impressive shutout victory over the Rams. Enterprise finished with 346 rushing yards, while defensively Joey Paine had a big game with six tackles and five sacks.
3AA NORTH
STANSBURY 35, UINTAH 14: Hudson Conrad rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries Friday night, leading Stansbury to the region victory. Jesse Horowitz had 23 carries with 113 yards with one score.
BEAR RIVER 62, TOOELE 48: The two teams combined for 110 points with Bear River contributing 41 in the first half alone.
JUAN DIEGO 69, BEN LOMOND 0: The Soaring Eagle received big contributions from Chase Williams, Cole Nelson and Jesse Springer, all three of which scored mulitple touchdowns. Juan Diego's defense was also stout in shutting out the Scots
3AA SOUTH
HURRICANE 31, PAYSON 22: JD Stanworth carried the ball 18 times for 86 yards and two touchdowns, and teammates Kole Richins and Tyson Yardley each added rushing scores of their own as Hurricane held off a late rally from Payson for its first win of the season.
DESERT HILLS 25, CEDAR 0: Sophomore Nick Warmsley came through in the rain with his best game of the season, completing 10 of 13 passes for 193 yards and four touchdowns. Senior Jordan Hokanson was on the receiving end of five of those completions, finishing with 93 receiving yards and two TDs. Cedar's option offense struggled to gain momentum and was held to less than 50 yards rushing and 88 yards passing.
