Phillip Carl McMillan1943 ~ 2013Born October 26, 1943 in Port Chester, New York, to John Andrew McMillan and Alonzetta Eugenia Wheeler. Passed away September 15, 2013 at home.Graduated from Greenwich High School, attended the University of South Carolina. Entered the United States Marine Corps and served in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Employed as an Electrical Engineer for The United States Department of Defense serving with the Air Force.Phil married Kathleen Hrbek, later divorced, married Evelin Radeke. He is survived by his wife Evelin, sons Phillip Jr. (Sherry), Sean (Aubrey), step-daughters Deanne Gayler (Art), Yvette Hale (Kit) and Wendi Bailey (Kirk), 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and anxiously awaiting the arrival of a grandson and 2 great-grand daughters. He considered all five children his own. He loved his wife Evelin and his large family very much and has always found them as a source of pride and joy.He is preceded in death by his parents, older brother John Arthur and daughter Kimberly Ann. Phil enjoyed hunting, fishing, doing genealogy and researching his Scottish ancestry. Over his working life he was the recipient of many military and civilian awards.A viewing will be held on Friday, September 20th from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary (3401 So. Highland Drive, SLC, Utah 84106). Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. "Once A Marine, Always A Marine"
