Miriam Grob Morgan7/24/1937 ~ 9/18/2013Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Miriam Grob Morgan, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Murray, UT surrounded by her family. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Charles and Margaret Baumann Grob (both deceased).She was raised in Salt Lake, graduating from Olympus High School in 1955. Miriam faithfully served an LDS mission to Austria from 1960 to 1962. She married James R. Morgan on February 17, 1966 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Throughout her life, Miriam served faithfully in many callings in the LDS church. Some included two Inner-City missions, three years at the IMC Hospital and 25-years as a part-time missionary at the Family History Library (FHL). During her time at the FHL Miriam developed a deep love for genealogical research. After retiring Miriam continued her genealogical research and through her dedication found many ancestors who had previously been overlooked.After retiring from Utah Power and Light in 1995, Miriam worked part-time for the LDS Church Distribution Center.Miriam was witty and fun loving, had a great sense of humor, and always knew how to laugh and have fun. She was a talented pianist, enjoyed puzzle games, reading and spending time with her family. Survived by husband of 47 years; daughter, Denisha (Todd) Harris; grandchildren, Megan and Cody Swensen, Brittney, Matt (serving a mission in Nashville, Tennessee) and Heidi Harris, all of Murray; sisters, Cynthia (Jerry) Naylor of Pleasant View, Melanie Mark of North Ogden; and brother, Dennis (Vicki) Grob of Salt Lake City.Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23rd at the Murray First Ward, 363 East Vine Street, Murray Utah, at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held prior to the services at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m. There will also be a viewing on Sunday, September 22nd at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens.
