CEDAR CITY — Main Street will be filled with 1,000 head of sheep during the annual Cedar City Livestock and Heritage Festival on Oct. 24-27.
The festival is a celebration of the agricultural industry’s contribution to the community and of the annual trailing of the sheep from mountain pastures to the valleys. Most of the events are free.
This year’s festival will feature historic sheep wagons, a ranch rodeo, a draft horse pull, the People’s Choice Dutch Oven Contest, an antique tractor pull, cowboy poetry, a quilt show, a stock dog demonstration and the Sheep Parade.
