LAYTON — The Layton City Fire Department will host the annual Kendall O. Bryant Fire Prevention Awareness Day open house from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Layton City Fire Station No. 51, 530 N. 2200 West.
The annual open house is named after firefighter Kendall O. Bryant, who died in the line of duty while searching for victims in a house fire on March 31, 2000. Bryant dedicated much of his time to educating children about fire safety.
The event will feature many activities for the whole family to participate. There will be free rides on one of the fire engines. The fire department welcomes canned food item donations to support Family Connection Center food bank in Layton.
