Beverly B. Silcox1930 ~ 2013Our sweet mother and grandmother, Beverly B. Silcox, waltzed into eternity with her eternal companion, Pete, on September 22, 2013. Beverly was born October 7, 1930 in South Jordan, Utah to Wallace DeLisle and Belva Leola Freeman Beckstead. On January 19, 1950, she married Owen Darrell "Pete" Silcox in Riverton, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on January 8, 1955. Pete preceded her in death July 10, 2007.Beverly enjoyed serving others, especially her family. She was always able to convince her great grandchildren that each one was her favorite. The family activities included cooking, and enjoying the Annual Pumpkin Party. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan and loved to bowl. For 25 years she worked at Peterson's Market in Riverton. She served in the Relief Society Presidency and was a dedicated Visiting Teacher. Survivors: sons, Raymond and special friend, Patti Montgomery, Evanston, Wyoming; Bruce and special friend, Marlene Johnson, Riverton; daughters, Belva (Roy) Sommer, Riverton; DeAnna (Cory) Holt, Saratoga Springs; 16 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; parents; brother, Wallace; sister, Betty Rae; father and mother-in-law, and Pete's family.Beverly's life will be celebrated on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Riverton 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 13200 South 1500 West. A viewing for family and friends will be held at the church on Thursday from 6-8 pm and again on Friday from 9:45-10:45 am.
