Jay Arthur Culley1938 ~ 2013West Valley City, UTJay Arthur Culley passed away peacefully in his home September 21, 2013 in West Valley City, Utah after a four year battle with cancer. Jay entered the world February 26, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised on a farm in Hunter, Utah and loved driving tractors and bailing hay. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1956. He served a mission to Western Canada for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1958-60. He married Rona Lee Hepworth in 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple. He graduated from the University of Utah in Electrical Engineering in 1963 and worked as an engineer all of his life. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for all of his life and served a mission with his wife in Winter Quarters, Nebraska in 2006. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed by all.Survived by his wife Rona and their four children Jamie (Mike) Chinn, Paul (Jackie), Jennifer, Russell (Melanie) and twelve grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn (Tom) Nixon, Bonnie (Lani) Haacke and brother Allen (Shannon). Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.. at the Taylorsville 24th Ward 2976 West 4270 South, West Valley City. Viewings will be held Wednesday, September 25, 6 to 8 P.M. at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday 10 - 10:45 A.M. at the church. Interment Valley View Memorial Park.
