Russell H. GaileyMarch 1930 ~ September 2013KaysvilleBeloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend passed away at age 83 on Friday, September 27, 2013, due to complications of a brain tumor. Russell was born on March 5, 1930, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to George Gailey and Laura Bone Gailey. Russell married his sweetheart Kay Burton on June 21, 1950, for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. Russell served in the U.S.M.C. during the Korean War where he was stationed in Japan.Russell spent his lifetime working as an auto mechanic running several gas stations throughout the Wasatch Front most recently in Bountiful, before retiring in 1993. Russell spent the last sixteen years serving as a temple worker in the Bountiful Temple. Russell enjoyed boating, motorcycling, and spending time with his family.Russell is survived by his sweetheart of 63 years Kay Gailey, Kaysville; daughter, Terri (Alvin) Swensen, Layton; son, Russell S. (Becky) Gailey, Layton; daughter, Kay Lyn (Bart) Hunsaker, Clinton; daughter, Julie (Marty) Sanders, Kaysville; brother, Keith Gailey, Boulder, Utah; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Russell was preceded in death by daughter Laurie Ann Gailey. Family and friends can celebrate Russell's life Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment Kaysville City Cemetery.Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
