SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz's roster is set heading into training camp.
Twenty players will participate with the team, which kicks off its first week together Monday with the annual Media Day session at Zions Bank Basketball Center. The Jazz begin working out with two-a-days Tuesday and will cap their first week with an intrasquad scrimmage Saturday at EnergySolultions Arena (4 p.m.).
Seven players with non-guaranteed contracts will join the Jazz for training camp, including former Weber State point guard Nick Covington (2005-06). The group also includes NBA veteran big man Brian Cook, former Rocket point guard Scott Machado, ex-D-League MVP Mike Harris (small forward), NBA journeyman Dominic McGuire (power forward), former NBA center Dwayne Jones and small forward Justin Holiday, the older brother of Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday.
Players with guaranteed contracts who will be participating in camp include rookies Trey Burke, Rudy Gobert and Ian Clark; returning Jazz players Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, Alec Burks, Jeremy Evans and Marvin Williams; former Warriors Andris Biedrins, Richard Jefferson and Brandon Rush; and free-agent acquisition John Lucas III.
