Evangelical communicator Ravi Zacharias will speak at the Tabernacle on Temple Square Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m.

He is scheduled to speak on religious freedom in the world today and developing friendships between evangelicals and Latter-day Saints, according to the event listing on lds.org. The website says that it will be a return visit to the Tabernacle for Zacharias, who spoke there in 2004 as the first evangelical leader to deliver an address at the Tabernacle since 1899.

Zacharias is an author, speaker and the founder and president of Ravi Zacharais International Ministries. The mission of the organization, as stated on its website, is “to reach and challenge those who shape the ideas of a culture with the credibility of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

The event is being hosted by Standing Together, a local evangelical ministry committed to uniting the Utah Christian community, according to the organization’s website.

Guests ages 16 and older are invited to attend. Tickets to the event are no longer available.
