Clinton Ray Jackson1929 ~ 2014Clinton Ray Jackson, 84, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully at home Thursday, January 23, 2014. He was born February 11, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Denton K and Cecilia Ward Jackson. He was the fourth of seven children.He served in WWII, where he was a paratrooper. After returning home he met and was sealed to his eternal sweetheart Ruth Coons in the Salt Lake City Temple on October 11, 1949. Together they had eleven children. His greatest love was being with his family. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as Bishop in the Manila First Ward for seven years and loved scouting. Clint is survived by his wife Ruth, their children: Vickie (Phillip) Christiansen, Diana (Bill) Warnick, Janet (Rob) Welch, Barbara (Floyd) Losee, Christine (Kevin) Bennett, Gary (Alecia) Jackson, Jeff (Patti) Jackson, Alan (Trina) Jackson, Heather Jackson (Dave), Heidi Brady, Hillary (Ed) Moore, thirty-six grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren with two on the way and one sister, Cecilia Mae Hurst. He is preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.Funeral services will be held Monday, January 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manila First Ward Chapel, 3396 North 900 West, Pleasant Grove, with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Family and friends may also attend a viewing Sunday evening, January 26, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 700 North 100 West. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
