Deseret Book CEO Sheri Dew drew upon her experiences as a business leader, a former member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Relief Society Presidency and a "shy" woman as she spoke to women in Houston on Jan. 26, according to Kelly Foss of Examiner.com.
“Women do not understand their influence. They don’t think they have it,” Examiner.com reports Dew as saying.
Dew also spoke of her social reticence.
“There (have been) practical things along the way that helped me learn how to interact. But I still deal with shyness all the time.”
