For the second consecutive week, the Westminster College women’s basketball team came in at No. 3 in the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll as the fifth regular season edition of the poll was released Tuesday.
Westminster accrued 230 points to hold the No. 3 position for a second straight week and third time in school history. The Griffins are 14-2 on the season, including an unblemished 8-0 mark in the Frontier Conference. Paced by NAIA-leader Alli Winters (.591), Westminster leads the nation in 3-point field goal percentage (.415). Vanguard sits atop this week’s poll for the sixth-straight edition. The Lions accumulated nine first-place votes and 250 total points to earn their 34th all-time No. 1 ranking dating back to the 1999-2000 season.
