Ila Rogers Mulcock1925-2013Salt Lake City, UTOn Dec. 31, 2013 our gracious and devoted wife and mother, Ila Rogers Mulcock, passed away peacefully at the age of 88, surrounded by her family. Ila was born Feb. 12, 1925 in her home on Lake Street in the Sugarhouse area of Salt Lake City. Ila always had an upbeat and positive personality. Although she suffered many physical hardships she was always smiling and "fine". She never had a bad word to say about anyone. On Aug. 9, 1945, Ila was sealed to her sweetheart, Wayne F. Mulcock, in the Logan Temple during a special serviceman's session while Wayne was on leave from WWII. Peace was declared while they honeymooned in Yellowstone and Wayne never had to return to active service.Ila was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings and as a temple worker. Always exceptionally kind, she showed unconditional love to all. She and Wayne had many friends and cherished their association with them throughout the years. She also volunteered in many service organizations, with Wayne. She was an accomplished seamstress, creating hundreds of beautiful and useful items. She was a wonderful homemaker, a loving mother, good cook and loved to throw a great party. She leaves behind a legacy of great love and is survived by her husband Wayne, sister Donna, her 4 children, Larry (Mary Anne) Mulcock, David (Pamela) Mulcock, Eileen (Larry) Rogers and Maureen (Barry) Holman, 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.A viewing will be Friday, Jan. 3rd at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S Highland Dr. from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Sat. Jan. 4, 2014 at the Winder 9th Ward Chapel, 1495 E 4705 S at 12:00 noon, with a viewing prior from 11:00 11:45. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
