Au Wai Fong YinNovember 22, 1920 ~ December 29, 2013Au Wai Fong Yin passed away December 29, 2013. She was born November 22, 1920 to Au Ping Sheng and Kang Shen in Nanjing, the once capital of China. She married Chun On Yin on February 14, 1937. During the trying times of World War II their home was a refuge for others. Forced to flee, they left China for Hong Kong, leaving all monetary things behind and escaping with only their lives.She came to the United States on November 24, 1968 under the sponsorship of Emma Russell, of Roy, Utah and William Coleman; President of Coleman Knitting Mills in Ogden, Utah.She was preceded in death by her husband, Chun On Yin and her daughter, Wan Kei Yin Hadden. She is survived by her son-in-law, Donald E. Hadden and three grandchildren, Anthony D. (Wendy); Jeremy A., Renata Kei; six great-grandchildren, Mia, Stella, Esmee, Lena, Mirae and Grace.Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, January 3, 2014 at the First University Stake, 6th Chinese Ward, 470 So. Mario Capecchi Drive, Salt Lake City.A viewing will be held for family and friends on Thursday, January 2nd at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday prior to the service at the church, from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.Interment with graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 3rd at the Ogden City Cemetery, 20th and Madison Avenue, Ogden, Utah.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com.
