Cut out the airport transfer shuttles or private cars and fly directly to where your business needs are. Private planes can fly into private airports and airfields, allowing you to make more efficient use of your travel time. – Kristen Price

If you thought luxury seating, uncrowded airports and flexible schedules could never be part of your business travel experience, think again. Sure, flying for work often involves a harried taxi to the airport, followed by a good hour or two of checking in, filing (barefoot) through the TSA checkpoint and waiting sometimes longer than youd like for your flight to actually board.

A private plane, on the other hand, offers you luxury, flexibility and wait for it maybe even some cost-saving benefits. Before you write off a potential business travel game-changer, be sure you know the business benefits of owning a private plane.

Keep your shoes on

You know the routine: laptops out of the bag, belts off, shoes in the bin. A good way to start a work day off on the wrong (bare) foot is a trip through airport security. With a private plane, you and your coworkers can skip the lines and jet straight to the tarmac no baggage check, no economy line, no C-group passenger boarding.

Fly to smaller locales

When you fly commercially, your destinations are limited to those with commercial airports. But your company may have more business in, say, Bellingham, Washington, than it does in Seattle.

Make your own schedule

That meeting in California doesnt end until 6:30, and the last flight home leaves at 6:45. Guess youll be staying an extra night in the Golden State, right? Well, not if you fly privately.

A private plane waits on you, allowing you to concentrate on your business without stressing out about flight schedules and airline delays. Take a morning flight for a meeting in another state, then be back in time for dinner with the family all without stressing out when the meeting (inevitably) runs over.

Get a tax deduction

Did you know that a private business plane could earn you some tax benefits? According to the Internal Revenue Services Publication 946, businesses are entitled to Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS) depreciation for tangible property. Additionally, many of the costs of maintaining and operating a business plane are also tax deductible as part of your business expenses.

Conduct business in flight

No time to rally and regroup for that important sales call prior to travel day? No worries; if you and your team are traveling via private plane, you can spend your airborne time reviewing presentations, holding strategizing or discussing other business matters.

Often equipped with WiFi and roomy, comfortable seating, your private business plane can operate a lot like a flying conference room. Dead travel time is essentially a thing of the past.

Make a good investment

Believe it or not, that private plane could be a good investment for your business one that your shareholders will appreciate. According to the National Business Aviation Association, businesses that use company-owned planes as transportation means statistically return more to their shareholders than similar businesses that dont use business aviation.

Aside from the investment opportunity, private airplanes are easy to store and maintain in the Salt Lake Valleyallowing you to access them easily and get in the air to grow your business.
