Following its 41-7 home win against San José State last weekend, Utah State received one vote in this week’s USA Today Coaches’ Poll to rank tied for 38th in the nation along with Iowa and Notre Dame.

For Utah State, this is the first time it has received top 25 votes since it garnered one vote in the Associated Press preseason top 25 poll at the beginning of the season to rank tied for 48th in the nation.

The last time Utah State was nationally ranked was when it finished the 2012 season ranked 16th in the Associated Press poll, 17th in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll and 22nd in the Final Bowl Championship Series (BCS) Standings.

Utah State (9-3, 6-1 MW) concludes its regular season and Mountain West play this weekend at No. 25 Boise State (9-2, 6-1 MW) on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 8:15 p.m., in a game that will be nationally televised on ESPN2. USU is 4-14 all-time against the Broncos, including a 2-7 record on the road.

Utah enters its contest against the Broncos having won five-straight games and seven of its last eight games overall. USU has also won 13 of its last 14 conference road games and is 13-2 all-time in Mountain West play.
