MORGAN — Four teenagers were hospitalized Friday after an all-terrain vehicle rollover in Morgan County.
Five teenagers were riding in a large Ranger ATV in a residential area on Sun Mountain Road. About 5:30 p.m., the ATV went around a corner and rolled near the side of the road, said Morgan County Sheriff Sgt. Scott Peay. All five were ejected from the vehicle.
Peay said none of the passengers was wearing a helmet.
A 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were transported by helicopter to Primary Children's Hospital. The boy sustained serious head injuries and was in critical condition Friday.
Another boy and girl, both 13, were taken to McKay Dee Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
One 14-year-old boy was released with no injuries.
Peay said the teens had no direct adult supervision, but were riding in an area where "families were out and about."
