Scott L. Racine"Scooter"Scott Louis Racine passed away March 15, 2014 after a valiant nine-week battle for his life surrounded by family and friends who loved him. Scott was born March 15, 1968 in Murray, UT to David and Joanie Racine.Scott had a wonderful childhood with 5 brothers and sisters, and later gaining 3 more sisters through adoption and an older brother by previous marriage, Craig (Whiting). His childhood was filled with laughter, love, and many many Lake Powell boating trips camping with friends and family.He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, snow skiing (like a pro!), waterskiing (like a pro!), basketball, bowling, horseshoes and anything else as long as he was with friends and family.He was married to Cheri Ann Mikesell on August 21, 1992; they had two beautiful children, Coleman Scott 18 and Cortnie Anne 14. They were his pride and joy. He loved them dearly. Scott loved his Nanashe introduced him to bowling where he developed his love for the sport. Scott took wonderful care of Nana and her beautiful yard. There wasn't a thing he wouldn't have done for her.Scott worked with Stucco and Rock designs most of his life. He had the talent to create art through his work and continually impressed his clients with what he was able to create. Scott befriended everyone and anyone he came in contact with. He had an infectious personality and was a true joy to be around, always the life of the party! You could not help but love Scott.Our hearts our broken and we will miss Scott terribly. We will hold him in our hearts till we meet again. May he find his peace.Scott was preceded in death by both his parents, David and Joan Racine. May they hold him in their arms once again. He is survived by his children, Coleman and Cortnie Racine; his brothers, Craig (Elaine) Whiting, Toby (Michelle) Racine, Aimee Nilson, Ryan (Danyelle) Racine, Jennifer (Jim) Clarken, Wendy Racine and Whitney (Derrick) Murray.Funeral services will be Saturday March 22, 2014 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 S. State Street, with viewings Friday evening from 6-8 pm and Saturday from 10-10:45 am. Interment: Murray City Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com
