Gloria Dorothy Crawford DensleyOct. 29, 1929 - March 17, 2014Gloria Dorothy Crawford Densley, 84, passed peacefully away following complications related to advanced age. Gloria was born October 29, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Glenn and Ida Potter Crawford. She married Robert Henry Densley, September 6, 1950, in the Salt Lake Temple. Robert (Bob) preceded Gloria in death on December 10, 2001. Prior to her marriage to Bob, Gloria joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gloria believed in the power of prayer and prayed often. She was a member of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers and enjoyed attending weekly meetings with the ladies in her neighborhood. After graduating from high school, Gloria followed her passion for music and obtained employment with Glen Brothers Music in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. She knew the music business inside and out and held fond memories of this time in her life. Gloria had many talents and interests. However, her greatest joy was her family no matter how close or far away. Her children will always be grateful for her unconditional love and devotion. Gloria created many wonderful and lasting memories for her grandchildren whom she adored. She spent countless hours completing beautiful genealogy books for her posterity. As an accomplished pianist, Gloria brought an appreciation and love for music to all those around her. She loved to garden in her yard and planted beautiful flowers each Spring. Gloria had a love for animals, particularly dogs. She enjoyed sitting on her daughter's couch for hours while cuddling their poodle Bailey. Gloria reached out to others in loving service. Her kind and sweet spirit will be greatly missed.Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Virginia Ferguson. Gloria is survived by daughter Lisa Densley Jacobsen, son Mark Robert Densley (Rhordora), three grandchildren, one niece, one nephew, and many cherished friends.A funeral service will take place Friday, March 21, 2014, at 7:00 p.m at the Imperial First Ward Chapel, 2738 South Filmore Street, Salt Lake City, where a viewing will be held prior to the service from 4:45 to 6:45 p.m. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 S. Highland Dr., Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. with brief services. Arrangements entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor.
