Chicago Bears offensive guard Kyle Long took time to make a 9-year-old's day when he heard the Illinois boy was getting bullied.
When Andrew Oyston told his dad, Frank Oyston, kids were bullying him at school and on the bus, Oyston decided to reach out to a football player he had been a fan of for a while.
According to FOXSports.com, Oyston contacted the Chicago Bears player Kyle Long via Twitter. After about a month of messaging though the social media site, Oyston and Long settled on a day for Long to visit Andrew. The player came Saturday, May 3, to Oyston's sister's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.
According to FOXSports.com, Long came to the family's house after the celebration to play catch and take pictures.
Social media users have responded positively not only to Long, but also Oyston for his proactive approach to his son's bullying.
