HILL AIR FORCE BASE — Kids of all ages explored some extraordinary aircraft and vintage vehicles Saturday during the Wings and Wheels food drive.
Planes at the museum aren't typically open for closeup exploration, but non-perishable food donations provided access to the cockpits of such greats as the C-7 Caribou, F111 Aardvark, A-10 Warthog, F-16 Fighting Falcon and the C-130 Hercules. More than 150 vintage cars and motorcycles were also on display.
The food collected at the event will be donated to the base's Airman's Attic food pantry, which serves the Hill community and other local organizations.
