I am currently a high school senior and have learned many different things about the men and women who fight for our freedom. I never fully understood all of their sacrifices until my older brother made the decision to serve in the Navy.
He spent almost all of his time away from his wife and children, doing what they call an underway, where he would be gone for several weeks or months at a time. I think I am now beginning to understand how much the military men and women do for me; thanks to them, I have and enjoy many rights and freedoms.
I'd like to say thank you to the men and women in uniform who make great sacrifices to provide me with my freedoms.
